Cait’s birthday!!

Robert Barron opening for cavers only this coming Saturday, 10am to 2pm. Hotdogs and other edible things. Some big rocks to get out, need strong people with straps.

Trip Reports

Amy went caving last weekend at a new TCMA cave in Carta Valley near Deep and Punkin. Good maze cave with flashers and big scorpions. Not surveyed yet, big drop so need some repelling gear to check out. Carolina adds there were hogs oinking and crashing over stuff.

Julian went to enchanted rock over a month ago with his brother and friend Travis. Travis threw his shovel into a 20 foot pit, went back and the rain washed it away. Saw entirety of the summit cave before the rain.

Greg, Marvin, Sherry, and the Mitchell family explored Rock Springs caves with lots of deep valleys, some shelter caves. Adventured through some valleys. Still a lot of property that hasn’t been checked yet.

Ross took a group of 16 from UT Grotto went into 180 ft deep pit and up into a 350 ft long chamber, 25 ft wide in the heart of downtown Austin. Tunneling for TXDOT.
